Vienna Bump Out Kitchen Remodel

This Vienna bump out kitchen remodel aimed to boost floor space and overhaul the layout for improved functionality. The original kitchen was cramped, lacking adequate counters and cabinets, relying on mismatched store-bought cabinetry. By extending the backside of the house, where an underutilized wooden deck stood, we amplified the kitchen’s size. Our clients value natural light and desired a view of their beautiful backyard, so we resized the existing windows.

Navigating around existing mechanical elements (like the heat pump and pool equipment beneath the deck) presented challenges. Removing a chimney was part of the process, and connecting the kitchen to the patio/pool area below required thoughtful planning. Introducing a spiral staircase not only bridged the gap between spaces but also evoked the tranquil vibes of the Outer Banks, a place close to their hearts for vacationing.
