Home sweet home. Just outside the hustle and bustle of the beltway, our repeat clients found a gem of a house to settle down with their four-legged family members. We were happy to get the call to assist with their project. Their three year old home had an unfinished basement that really needed to be transformed to meet their needs. While the doggies primarily go in and out through the basement, our clients had a fair amount of lawn equipment they wanted to protect. Their basement had rough-ins for plumbing which allowed us to easily add a basement bathroom. There was already an egress window so we could add a bedroom in the basement too. Their needs involved protecting their lawn equipment but having easy access to that equipment too. This extra bedroom will serve their son and his family when they visit. We were able to restore and rebuild a work bench that was donated from a different client. Again, we love it when items do not end up in the landfill. This basement remodel involved three closets for storage, a bathroom, a bedroom, storage for tools and a slop sink to clean those tools. While this was a bigger basement, it feels extra cozy with the luxury vinyl plank and finishing touches. Our client was particularly happy with the Wellborn entertainment center which not only showcases family pictures but serves as functional storage for the grandkids.
